And page 6 is done! I think it's just been under a week since I finished page 5, a crazy pace for me... Page 7 is fairly well in progress right now, too. It's kind of exciting, and I hope people like MDL's story progression. Starting on page 5 of MDL shows definite improvement in panel and text layout (huzzah!). I'm trying to incorporate the concept of the text balloons being a cohesive whole on the page and naturally leading the eye through the appropriate frames on the page.

I'm very happy with how the backgrounds and scenery are developing for MDL. 3D scenes for the town and major buildings and the above-ground portion for the dungeon/jail complex are complete, with the dungeon below-ground under construction. To counteract my poor skills at sketching backgrounds, I've been building the backdrops to scenes in 3D, then referencing them for the actual pages. The influence has counteracted my old tendency for defaulting to talking heads.

Page 3 of Elemental Fusion is progressing very slowly, because I'm focusing on MDL. Keep with the freshest creative juices, I guess.
